SUNDAY, DECEMBER 14, 1941 We aimed to go to John Marion's today but our truck was still out of shape so we had to stay at home. Listened to the Radio.

MONDAY, DECEMBER 15, 1941 We washed today and have done the general house work.

TUESDAY, DECEMBER 16, 1941 We ironed and I sewed some. Jim, Dock & John Marion were here today. They thought Rex was going to kill a hog but he decided he wouldn't kill as he didn't think the weather suitable.

WEDNESDAY, DECEMBER 17, 1941 I cleaned up in the kitchen some today. I cleaned the oil cloths and mop the floor.

THURSDAY, DECEMBER 18, 1941 We washed this morning. I washed the kitchen windows & hung the curtains this afternoon. Uncle Brack went to Uncle Gus & will spend the night. He aims to go to Pleasant View tomorrow.

FRIDAY, DECEMBER 19, 1941 Mother, Rex , Robert & I went to town today. Mother kept Robert at Jessie's while I went down in town. I got a new permanent wave. I got a sweater for myself and finished my Xmas shopping. Jessie gave Robert 2 aprons for Xmas.

MONDAY, DECEMBER 22, 1941 Mother and I washed today.

TUESDAY, DECEMBER 23, 1941 We ironed and I made 2 cakes. a gold cake and a white cake.

WEDNESDAY, DECEMBER 24, 1941 Mother dressed a chicken & made some boiled custard & I cleaned up the house. Rex went to town this afternoon. He brought me a chiferobe for Xmas. I was awful proud of it. I had wanted one for a long time. Rex got mother house slippers and Uncle Brack a oilcloth.

THURSDAY, DECEMBER 25, 1941 We had Xmas dinner at home. Uncle Brack ate with us. We all had a big Xmas. I got a number of useful things.
