Jan. 8

1931. Went to school today & to town this afternoon. Miss Mann & myself went to Nortonville after Raymond tonight.

1932. Went to school today, and came home this afternoon. Studied a little tonight. I made 95 on an English test today.

1933. Stayed at home all day. Mr. Gene Melton spent the day with us. Rex didn't come today. Mother and I played Rum tonight.

1934. Fletcher, John Marion, Albert, Jim, and Jasper came this morning. I went to Jim's a while this afternoon. Evelyn & I went to see Aunt Patie and Uncle Alonzo. Rex and I played Rummy tonight.

1935. I ironed, churned, got dinner, & wrote a letter to Christian Lea today. John Marion came a little while tonight. My cold is some better today.

Jan. 9

1931. Went to school today. Dad came after me and we came home. I studied on Geometry a little tonight.

1932. Studied for my finals most all day. Miss Nannie, Mother, Dad & myself went over to see Mr. & Mrs. Conley's a little while tonight.

1933. Mother and I washed today. Mother and I played Rum tonight.

1934. I cleaned up the house and got dinner this morning. Cornell and Leona came a while this afternoon and I went home with them. Leona, Cornell, Elizabeth and I played Rummy and also rook. I wrote a letter to Mother today. I wrote a letter to Mrs. Breen tonight.

1935. Leona & I went to Mrs. Merrill's this afternoon & helped her fix the sheets & towels for the missionary Society's linen chest. I got a letter from Mother today. Sis went to Jessie's tonight & will spend the night. [?] is 21 years old today.
