Dear Dr. Van Waters

I received your most welcomed letter today along with one from Miss Judith Van Deman, & I was delighted with it. I also received the magazine of Natural and when which you sent. It is splendid reading & I have recognized Miss Frances Frecine from a picture. I can not remember just where I know her from though.

One article held special interest to me, that entitled "Green or Brown" by Edwin a Mason, Wildlife Management Director. I am certain I should enjoy going on any one of the various get others of the outdoors groups. There are so many beautiful things in life that I often ask myself how we can fall from its scene, even if it does remain so complex. I have been finding that the more one can take

the time to study life, themore one can really enjoy its beauty & want to preserve it in its entirety.

I was very pleased that Miss Judith Vann Daman wrote. She quotes her son who was commenting on the signs - "thats good, because without the signs no one wuld have known where our booths are & the people have to know where the good stuff is." He must be a very nice young lad & his mother likewise a very nice woman. She has expressed that she wouldl like to visit with her son Barry. I hd to write & tell her that at the present time it was not possible but that I hoped it may be in the future.

From the way she speaks of you, Barry places you as about his best friend. This I can easily believe as you have shown more warmth for

so many people, all with his or her own problems, than any person I have ever known. I know I shall always remain grateful to you & for all you have done for me. If it is in my power, I shall never give you reason to regret my name.

Fornight I shall see Father Foley + perhaps he will have one of the books repaired so that I might be able to read it. I hope you have enjoyed the postcard with the Dogwood Story as I have. Perhaps it is only ledgier but unique. Or perhaps it is a reality, it doesn't state where or by whom it was written.

God Bless You Always Love Richard.
