TO his Honor the Mayor and City Councilmen:-

Gentlemen.

Whereas: such confusion precails from the feet of one continuous Street bearing three distinct names in four separate sections throughout its course, Viz: Beginning at Pennsylvania Avenue thence South to Terrell Ave. being known also "Alma" Street; Terrell Ave. to Rosedale Street as "Broiles"; Rosedale Street to Magnolia Ave. As "Park Place" and South of Magnolia to place of ending again known as "Broiles" and being desirous of having the entire thoroughfare identified by one common name, we respectfully petition your honorable body to combine the several divisions under the common name of Travis Avenue thereby simplifying matters, and giving us a social, community and legal status, for which we shall ever pray.

Respectfully submitted.
