Sunday November 30th 1845 AM comes in with a gale from the N & W blowing heavy with high sea. Middle part saw two Right whales near the ship appearing verry [VERY] gentle. Latter part wind more Southerly blowing in squalls. Nantasket in company. -- Latt [LATITUDE] Obs [OBSERVATION] 41°=20" South Long [LONGITUDE] by Chro. [CHRONOMETER] 157°=29"

Monday December 1, 1845 All of this 24 hours fresh squalls and a heavy gale from the Westward. Fore part head to the Southward. At sunset wear ship to the N & W hoping to see the whales in the morning and good weather. Lost sight of the Nantasket. Latt [LATITUDE] Obs [OBSERVATION] 42°=05" South Long [LONGITUDE] by Acct [ACCOUNT] 157°=35" West

Monday [TUESDAY] December 2ond Sea Acct it comes in with a heavy gale from the S & W. Ship heading Westward Northerly. At 6 PM moderating a little. Wore ship to the Southward and set the fore sail.
