At 8 AM came to anchor of [OFF] the island of Mouee [MAI'AO?] in 12 fathoms of water. Hands imployed [EMPLOYED] in washing of [OFF] the ship. Nothing more worth of remark.

Remarks on bord [BOARD] Friday April 4th 183 [1834] The first part of these 24 hours fresh wind from the North. Hands ingaged [ENGAGED] at wartring [WATERING] the ship. Half of the crew on liberty ashore. Middle part calm. Latter part fresh winds from the South. Hands imployed [EMPLOYED] in seting [SETTING] up the main top mast rigging. Took a barrel of oil on shore and traded it out for all kinds of vegitable [VEGETABLES]. So ends this day at Mohea [MO'OREA]
