of the proposed road, & to inclose that part of the old road not included in the sweep in his own Estate. This it is needless to say can only be effected at considerable expense, & Mr. W. wishes to obtain from the Prop.s of the Cemetery, a release of any rights they may have in the old road, upon his giving them equal rights in the new: & as he thinks that this alteration in the road will be an actual benefit to the Prop.s & their Estate, - he hopes to obtain their concurrence in his project.

Very Respectfully & truly Y.rs Wm Sohier - P.S. Mr. W. has already purchased from the. "Stones" the fee of the old & new roads - & the town of Watertown I am told, have consented to the discontinuance of the Town way = and I am also informed that the Prop.s have no rights to the particular road now laid out round the corner, but supply a general right of Passage. _

Mr. McDonald owns the nearest supply to the front gate Mr. Stone, the nearest to the back gate

Mr McDonald's supply lies about in the position of the rectangle a-b a-d on the enclosed sketch, where thus is a large quantity of gravel; some already sold to contractors, but a sufficient quantity, unsold as yet.

He would be glad to make an arrangement with us, either by selling us a piece of land outright, on fee simple (which we could sell when we had taken off the gravel) or by selling us the gravel off the land,
