Copy of a deed from Dixi Crosby to Georgie B. Brewster.

Know all men by these presents that we Dixi Crosby of Hanover, County of Grafton and state of New Hampshire and Mary J. Crosby, wife of said Dixi Crosby for & in consideration of the sum of forty dollars, to us in hand, before the delivery hereof, well & truly paid by Mrs. Georgie B. Brewster of Boston, County of Suffolk & state of Mass. the receipt whereof we do hereby acknowledge have granted bargained & sold & by these presents do give, grant, bargain sell, alien, enfeoff and convey unto the said Georgie B. Brewster, her heirs & assigns forever, one lot in the Dartmouth Cemetery, situated on that eminence which runs from the North West corner of the old grave yard westward to the brow of the hill, being the lot lying immediately West of Rev. Herman Rood's lot and bounded on the North & South by ravines. To have & to hold the said granted premises with all the privileges and appurtenances to the same belonging to her the said Georgie B. Brewster & her heirs & assigns, to her & their only proper use & benefit forever. And I, the said Dixi Crosby do hereby covenant, grant & agree to & with the said Georgie B. A meeting of the Directors was held this day in the Cemetery. Voted to sell to Mrs. C. F. Richardson one fourth of the Brewster lot, No. 309, for one hundred dollars ($100~) and to deposit the same in the Dartmouth Savings Bank for the benefit of the Brewster heirs.

At the call of the secretary a meeting of the Directors of the Dartmouth Cemetery Association was helf this day at 2 P.M. in the new bank building. Mr. C. P. Chase read two letters from Thomas B. Booth Esq of Boston Man. to Prof. J. H. Lord, the first offering and the second transmitting a record book or directory of the Cemetery made by his grandfather, John Richards, who was a clergyman at Dartmouth College and pastor of the College Church from 1842 to 1859.

The annuaal meeting of the Dartmouth Cemetery Association was held this day in the office of the Treasurer, according to notice duly given. President Frost in the chair. The minutes of the last annual meeting were read by the Secretary and approved. The Treasurer reported the income for the year from endowments to be $310.07, contributions $8.00, which added to the balance on hand at the beginning of the year of $257.02 made a total of $575.19. The expenses were $184.13 leaving a balance of $391.06. The endowment fund was increased during the year by $400.00 making the present endowment for the care of lots $5858.24. The general fund is now $1459.70 and the total
