At the regular quarterly meeting of the Massachusetts Horticultural Society holden , Charles O. Whitmore from the Finance Committee presented a copy of a supplementary indenture with the Proprietors of the Cemetery of Mount Auburn, dated , changing the provisions of Article fifth of said original Indenture, but otherwise ratifying and confirming the same
Whereupon it was
Voted that the subject be referred to the President of this Society with instructions to report upon the expediency of the Society's executing said Indenture as an adjournment of this meeting one week from today.
At the adjournment of the quarterly meeting, holden , the President having reported that it is for the best interests of this Society to execute the said Indenture with some slight alterations and additions, and the same having presented as amended in a

An adjourned Meeting of the Trustees was held on Wednesday, , at half past Three o'clock P.M.
Present Messrs J. T. Bradlee, Brewer, Choate, Lawrence, Perkins, Snow and Turner
The record of the last meeting was read and approved.
Reports of Com. on Grounds "inexpedient" in regard to erection of houses for employees; purch. of land from heirs of Stone postponed.
A verbal Report was received from the chairman of the Committee on Grounds to the effect that it was inexpedient at the present time to take action of the kind suggested in the Superintendent's Communication dated , recommending the erection of houses for the employees of the corporation. Also that the further consideration of Dr. Bigelow's communication dated , respecting the purchase of fourteen acres of land from the heirs of Stone be postponed. And it was
Voted, – that the above Report be accepted.
Trustees' Ann. Report accepted & ordered to be printed.
The Annual Report of the Trustees to the Proprietors was read by the President, and after consideration it was

The President stated to the Board that he had been waited upon by Mr Charles O. Whitmore on behalf of a Committee

deliver deeds of Lots numbered 4333 and 4334, on Spruce Avenue, contracted to be sold without intervening space, as shown on the Report of the Superintendent for . Also to prepare and deliver deeds of Lots numbered 4335 and 4336, Perella Path, contracted to be sold as above as shown on Superintendent's Report of even date –
Lot # 4341 Perp. care of soil. Comn from Supt ref. to Com. on Lots.
The same gentleman also presented a communication from the Superintendent dated with reference to placing Lot #4341, Halcyon Avenue under the perpetual care of the corporation as to the turf and grass.
Voted, – that the above communication be referred to the Committee on Lots, with powers {See file of Supt's. Reports for p. c. with G.}
Cont. for perp. rep. with G. of Lots #1537 & #1380
The Secretary having stated that the chairman of the Committee on Lots had instructed him to present for the concurrence of the Board, contracts for the perpetual repair with guaranty of Lot No 1537, Willow Av., owned by Charles O. Whitmore, for the sum of $550.– and of Lot No 1380 Spruce Avenue, late of *Samuel P. Allen, deceased for the sum of $1000.– it was
Voted, – that the above contracts be concurred in on the part of this Board.
Upon the petitions of the parties in interest, representatives were designated for Lots as follows. viz: –
458 Margaret G. Winslow of Everett, daughter of George Winslow deceased proprietor of Lot numbered Four hundred & fifty-eight.
