27, Set Carpenter Moses about Lathing & George and Frank to cram the kitchen. Frank went to mill &car'd turn Meal to Caslows. Col.Pendleton came to bro'r James in evening- Aunt Thomas & Miss J .Taylor at J .Taylors-
28, Aunt Thomas & Miss J .Taylor at J .Taylors, went to Uncle Taylors in the evening- I went to Midland & from thence to Capt Burnleys. John Bell & the Miss Burnleys dined there- Capt Burnley burnt a plant patch- J .Bowie Pendleton & his sister came to J.Taylors- Col.James Pendleton went to Col.Law Taliaferros where Com'rs met to Divide some slaves between the Taliaferros' and returned to J .Taylors. -Cramming Kitchen.

1, Mr. Ben Porter & Mr. John Alcock (two of the Commiss'rs) came early to James Taylor's and Col.Pendleton went with them to Col'o Wm.Taliaferro's where they were to divide some more slaves in dispute between Harry Taliaferro, L.Taliaferro &c. J .Pendleton went Hunting. E.Pendleton, Miss Caty Pendleton & M.Taylor went to Jos Clarks with sister. Harry Pendleton & his sister Caty came from Culpeper to J .Taylors. Mr.Ingram finished J's Taylors porch, and after dinner went to Midland-
2, Mr. Ingram finished at Midland ab't 3 o'clock. Moses & George not there, sick.
3, Geo.Taylor got up here, Jos Griffey brought up for him a Desk, Chest, Case, two beds & some small things- Jos.Clark was at Midland got some Iron & Steel w'ch Peter was to carry to Col Madison's Shop- G.Taylor came to J .Taylors and dined, says Capt Conway came to C.Taylors to see his sister Miss Molly who is very sick. Capt Conway sent me two Guineas by G.T. who returned after dinner to C.Taylors- Frank finished cramming kitchen. I have been very unwell since last night- Rainy morning, ceased about noon-
4, Sunday, G.Taylor came here and dined.
5, Sent some plank &c to Mr.Ingram to make Tables. Went to Mr.Shepherd's Store-paid him £5.4.0. for articles bought at Adams's Sale, 23/- was on G.Taylor's account for 1 Bar'l Paint.-
Came to Uncle Taylors to Dinner. Maj'r Moore & family, Mrs. Row'd Thomas, Aunt Thomas, Mrs Burnley, H. & Bowie Pendleton, M.Taylor & two Miss Pendletons were there. I took some Rhubarb this morning & think myself somewhat better-
6, Went to Midland. G.Taylor there, set Moses to get Timbers for a house-G.Taylor returned to C.Taylor's- Aunts Taylor & Thomas, Mrs Burnley, & Mrs Row'd Thomas, also Capt J.Walker dined here. I continue unwell. Aunt Thomas staid.
7, J.Taylor went to Mr Cowherds & returned to the Court house, where I went to a sale of John Carter's Effects by Execution. Bought a horse for G.Taylor for £5.19.0. which I paid to Jos Wood pr rec't. J.Taylor paid me 3 guineas weight £4.3.0. & G.Taylor let me have 2 do. Bought for G.Taylor of one Grimes a small firkin butter 40 lb at 9d. bo't at Lees Store for do. a pair Compasses & Carpenters rule-
8, Went to Midland. My Fathers Bacon & Beef put into Meat House- Bacon 28 Gammons, Shoulders & Midlings each, some Jowls & c 22 pieces Beef & 2 Tongues. J.Pendleton & Ch's Taylor there, he got 150 Nails & 2 pieces of the nest of Wooden ware, We went to C.Taylors to dinner. Mrs Madison & Miss Sally dined there & staid-G .Taylor came to J.Taylors at night. H.& Bowie Pendleton went to A.Porters to his daughters wedding-
9, Rained in the night & rainy till noon- G.Taylor staid till dinner & went to C.Taylors. Aunt Thomas went to Uncle Taylors-
Two of P[hillip] Pendletons Sons & some negroes got here today & expect him & his son James-
10, Fine weather-sent Frank to Mr.Shepherd's for the Keg of butter which he carried to Midland- G.Taylor went there, C.Taylor sent for some Butter, sent him 16 pounds-G.Taylor ret'd to C.Taylors who is gone to a Jury on Adams's Land &c. Harry & Bowie Pendleton went to Culpeper.
