Old McCormick tried & found
not guilty. Honorably acquitted.
Verdict Clark & Long for
Plff. Croquet afternoon.
Harris v Becher. former won.
Heavy rain at night.

FRIDAY, 16
Hot day. Stayed in
Court till late. Dinner
at 8 p.m. Wrote to Dick

SATURDAY, 17.
Fine day. C.C. over.
After lunch played the
Harris v Becher match again
at Eldon House. We beat them
badly. Came home late.
Letter from Dick.

Very hot day. Walked into
morning service with Alick.
The Bishop home again from
England & gave us a very
long sermon. Gov and Alick
drove out to Peter Steel's in
the cart & came home late.

MONDAY, 19
Rain last night. Fine
day. After office went with
Alick to kill frogs for
breakfast. Long letter
from Bill at St. Pauls.

TUESDAY, 29.
Fine day. Wrote to Bill.
Left office early
