SUNDAY, 4
Very hot. Alick and I walked into
morning service at St. Pauls.
Saunders & Sam out in
afternoon.

MONDAY, 5.
Hot day. Bill & Sam off for
the Far West on a spree [crossed out] by
7 p.m. train. Dinner at
1/2 past 4 in consequence of
their departure & Bennett arbitration
at the [?].
Crawford to dinner. Took pup over to
the dam & taught him to retrieve.

dinner. Before dinner
walked over to the dam with
Alice [Boney?] & [Samuels?].
Sancho washed over the
dam.

WEDNESDAY, 7
Very heavy rain at about
3 p.m. At the race course all

& Crawford.

TUESDAY, 8.
Cool.
Mr Emmonds (Detroit)
& Crawford out after office to
dinner & croquet. Johnny
Young also to dinner. Races
still going on. Harper won T.C.
purse & Clarion Province purse -
former $200. latter $150.
