Rain all day. Gov Off to
Chatham at 7 p. m. Went to
meet him at that train &
accom. but he didn't come.
Bull pup lost. Crawford
back again & out to dinner.
Commenced Leith.

SATURDAY, 29.
Alick home at 6 a.m.
Joined the gymnasium
& had a good deal of exercise
there with Alick.

SUNDAY, 30.
Church a.m. with Co Flo
Mum & Alice. Our pew full
of officers (16th). Hen Givins
to lunch & tea.

MONDAY, MAY 1, 1865.
Fine day but a little cold,
Attended Division Court all
morning. [crossed out] Little cocker
pup very weak & near dying.
Gov off to Simcoe by night
express.

TUESDAY 2.
Fine day. Office till late &
a little exercise in the
gymnasium in the
afternoon. Pup died
early this morning

WEDNESDAY, 3.
Fine day, after dinner
drove out to the Smyth's
for the children.
