Fine day. Gov home
from Simcoe by
midday Train. Work
all day. Alick drove out to
Dorchester after dinner to
see old Snyder.

FRIDAY, 5th.
Hot day. Chancery hearings
commenced. The Chancellor
& Mrs Van Koughnet to
dinner. Settled with Brough.
In the afternoon went for
a ride with Hunt on the
big mare.

SATURDAY, 6.
Rainy all day. Chancery
hearings finnished. Mr Roof
& Crawford to dinner.

SUNDAY, MAY 7, 1865.
Morning service with Co and Flo.
The Chancellor & Mrs in our pew,
& out to dinner. Walked
into town with Alick .
before tea. Fine moonlight
night.

MONDAY, 8.
Adjourned assizes commenced.
Johns & Furse took all day &
not finished. Lunched
at the Bishops. Fine day.

TUESDAY, 9.
Fine day. Nelson come
from Montreal to pay us a
visit. Verdict for Furse in
Johns vs Furse. Assizes
still on.
