Dear Miss Lapham In answer to your request I send with pleasure the desired photograph. It cannot be said to be a good one, but its principal fault consists in its resemblance to the original. Through the means of exchanges I am myself beginning a collection of the likenesses of friends and correspondents and shall be very glad of the privilege of adding to it the second edition of that of your father and any others with which correspondents may favor me.
