MAY, 1931

SUN 3 Mother, Mary Ellan & I went to church. Took Hugh out.

MON 4 Donald came downstairs. Mother & I went to Capitol Movie. "Ten cents a Dance" & "Dangerous Females."

TUES 5 Mother took Hugh to A. & P. Donald in yard.

WED 6 Mother painted chairs green.

THUR 7 Mother & I went to Bedford Theatre - "Beau Ideal".

FRI 8 Mother & I went downtown. got chair, dishes, shoes for children etc.

SAT 9 washed my hair. Mrs. Underhill bro't D. books. Mother & I got lovely flowers.

H. gave me chocolates M.E. sweet peas & D [?] MAY, 1931 10 yrs. married. [?] SUN 10 Mother's Day Mother M.E. & I went to church. took Hugh out. read to children Boy's sent mother lovely flowers

MON 11 Mrs. Price came for tea. K.B. Jacksons & Mrs. Linnell in evening

TUES 12 had reading club here. Read "Socrates[?] lovely time.

WED 13 D. started back to school. Mother & I took M.E. & Hugh to Yonge St. lovely weather

THUR 14 Mother, Harold & I went to see Will Roge[?] in "Connecticut Yankee splendid

FRI 15 Mother & I went downtown. I got lovely georgette dress Donald had Sonny & Allen for supper.

SAT 16 Sewed. rained. all day. House being painted.

MAY, 1931

SUN 17 Mother & I took M.E. to church. All went to K.B. Jacksons for tea. Lovely time.

MON 18 Mother & I went downtown. Took dress back & got georgette & lace one.

TUES 19 Mother left for home. Took M.E. to Yonge. Sat outdoors with Hugh.

WED 20 I poured at Univ. Women's club tea. very nice time. raining.

THUR 21 I went to Clovelly Inn & met Harold at club. Dr. Bland spoke on "Human Faces."

FRI 22 Donald has bad cold & cough. giving Hugh cream of wheat.

SAT 23 rain all day.

MAY, 1931

SUN 24 Empire Day (Canada) went for a walk with Mary Ellan.

MON 25 Harold left for Ottawa.

TUES 26 in all day with children. Letter from mother.

WED 27 Took Donald to Dr. Hart.

THUR 28 Doctoring Donald who is in bed with a cough.

FRI 29

SAT 30 Memorial DAy (U.S.) Harold came home. raining.

MAY, 1931, JUNE

SUN 31 Took M.E. & Hugh out walking.

MON JUNE 1 Donald coughing badly.

TUES 2 very warm

WED [following crossed out] Jefferson Davis' Birthday (U.S.) 3 Harold at home. put up tent. out doors all day.

THUR 4 I went downtown & got Donald a suit. Fentons came to dinner.

FRI 5 got hair cut. Mrs. Ballard gave me plants for the garden.

SAT 6 cold again.
