in Parkins' [time?]. July 15 After lunch packed & Mowat B had trap waiting. He drove us over [Golf links?], past Old Fort Edmonton, the Huds. Bay Post. now used by small force of N.W.M.P. Then down to picturesque, ferry on wh. trap & all, we crossed & up hill on other side & station. at Strathcona. Train left at 3.15. Long rather hot journey down. Bad supper at Alberta Hotel Red Deer 7. Got in 10:55. CR met Mr. [Haultain] in hotel Premier. livg at Regina & on his way there.
