[Friday, February 10]

We left about 3:20 for New York. Margie prepared dinner. F & I bathed then relaxed and were dressed when Mr. B & Eileen arrived at 10. We left at 11 for the Beaux Arts Ball. The Brasser met us there. Evening a little disappointing. F took us to Brasserie for breakfast and we got to 1200 at 3:30 and Mr B back to Danbury at 5:30

[Saturday, February 11]

In New York, bad day for shopping so I stayed in. Freibe went at night to his club meeting at the Carters.

[Sunday, February 12] Breakfast in N.Y. [New York] Temp. 14 degrees and we left there about 1 and the thermostat did not work in the station wagon. And was it cold. We had soup which helped the thawing out. Early dinner and when Margie tried to start her car, battery dead. Freibe took her home

[Monday, February 13] F and G. put a jump on M's car and got it going but that was not the answer. Most important Freibe helped me get the trunks and bags out of the middle of the floor and the place all cleaned up.

M called could not start car needed a ride. [Tuesday, February 14] 9 Had Mrs Crandall to do kitchen in guest house I put skirst on beds (2) up stairs and did some cleaning. Freibe again with Margie's car which this time needed a new battery $ each Freibe picked up Margie and Lucy about 11 A.M. I prepared breakfast before he went to town.

[Wednesday, February 15] Margie made it out all right.

[Friday, February 17] Went with Freibe to pick up the Mercedes after repair, check 146. +) Food fair 10.58 cash. First National by check. Brewster A. and P 7.46 cash
