until he & [Cugler?] can with safety return to School
dear Tip is studying Engeneering under the men
who are putting up or have put up the Engine - he thinks
whilst he is here he may as well be doing some good
It works beautifully & I hope will answer dear Butlers
expectations - & not annoy your dear Father by being
under the cotton house. When Dc Witt & Morgan
get their emboidered petticoats let me know [thr?]
prices & I cant until then determine whether I
can or cannot give them to the girls. Georgia had a
letter from Maggie Cooper by Mr Willy. who mentions
the intention of the [Miss s?] Fraser & Barnards to take the
St Marys tomorrow for Savannah . How I pity you
my child the addition to your family & cares. Maggie
seems half wild with happiness - she certainly shows
very little of the delicacy so much to be admired in a young
girl . so much for association . you probably will
hear more from the Frasers of the goings on at Hopeton
than I am able to tell you - I have perhaps even now
said too much. I was so much in hopes I could
have sent you spare ribs & sausages by this boat-
I want some so much myself - but you see dearest
I cant. I have ordered an old Gobler killed for you
today - I am determined to send you no more
