"Punch Bowl". "aboriginal excavation unknown
to me, who have made inquiries of the oldest 'inhabitants'
now living. I believe the name comes from a peculiar bend in the river there:
so called on the "9 sheet map"

Thomas Barbour's home was near the village of Barbourville
- about 1 mile S.-trace there in 1907; He lived
subsequently at "Bloomingdale" - near Liberty Mills,
the residence being some hundred yards N.E. of the
present mansion.
