5 FRIDAY ['Dividends due'. printed under date] Oh, for some! Took care of Mrs Ussher & went to cook all day - not home till 8. Excessively exhausted.

6 SATURDAY

Took care of Mrs Ussher and went to cook at Minerva. Got home at five & went to Lady Byles for dinner. Mr & Mrs J.A. Hobson also there.

Pottered in the Dug-out & took care of Mrs Ussher. Had tea with Kath. Feeling far "below par". Wrote to W. B. Ll.

8 MONDAY

Took care of Mrs Ussher. Shopped at World's End. In afternoon went to Chelsea Library & read "The Nation". Slept in afternoon; weak & depressed. In evening went to resume French at Marlboro School. Wet day. some flakes of snow. Noted 6 swans on the full tide. 3 of them very dirty.

9 TUESDAY

Took care of Mrs Ussher & went to Minerva at 2 p.m Home about 11.30. Went with Miss A A Smith to Old Vic" to hear Israel Cohen lecture on Ruhleben. Cold night.
