A beautiful clear day: quite pleasant. At meeting;
father and mother went to Uncle Samuels in the afternoon;
father went to Clifton too: Frank went to Anne Hallowell's
birth day party; Fannie Gilpin called here in the afternoon,
Dr. Howard here in the morning, bought the threshing machine:
Phil here with beef.
2d.
A beautiful clear morning. Lucy and Walter called at
Phil's, early this morning; I called at Sherwood; father, Joe and
the colored man at work on the road between the Cottage and
Cherry Grove; Dr. Howard sent for the threshing machine.
James Hollowell delivered a lecture, on Electrol Magnetism;
Annie Marshall came here, and staid during the lecture.
3d.
A cool cloudy day: Joe went to Dr. Howards in the morning
to fix the threshing machine; father out on the road all day
James Hallowell called in the morning; Lizzie Tyson came
for Lucy after supper.
