2nd 18th Ben harrowing potato ground
George assisting Father & I in
picking 10 bbls apples. 7 of Carthouse &
3 of Spitzenburg. Louisa & Clem
picking potatoes all day.
After dinner Father & George
hawled off weeds from potato
field & potatoes to house. I went
with Corrie & Belle after Chestnuts
came back at 4 with2 qts. I
then helped Father & George.
Uncle Fred making cider on
shakes. Clear & pleasant.
3rd 19 Father George Clem & self picking
apples all day 4 1/2 bbls Rock rimmon
for keeping & 6 for cidar. 4 Carthouse
Ben harrowing potato ground
Louisa picking up after
him. Killed the old white cow
Cloudy up to 4 PM when it
commenced raining and turned
off very windy and cold.
4th20 Ben finished harrowing the potato ground
at 4 PM. then plowed up an old fense
row between that & new ground. Father &
I drilling wheat George picking
potatoes after the drill & harrow
