67th Meeting

at the call of Pattie R Stabler, assisted by Frederick Stabler, the Home Interest met at Norwood, the home of J.T. & Anna L. Moore, the 22nd of July, one week too soon. The host. & hostess, making a virtue of necessity, received us with our invited guests very kindly. The early part of the afternoon was spent by the eight members present, in trying to make the best of the mistake made, and after a walk round when tea was over, the meeting was called to order & Pattie R Stabler, made Secretary, on the reasonable absence of Mary S Bond. The garden & flowers showed the effect of the drougth.

1st Question Mary B Thomas wants to know who owns the fruit in our orchards.

2nd What to do with a Wheeler & Wilson machine, to make it work well on any fabric? No satisfactory answer.

4th - Has any one tried the Ashton fly trap? Yes and like them, if you kill the flies, before they find their way out comptly empty them often.

5th - How many wash coffee before roasting? None. Some valuable chips from the Almanac. I would suggest that in future when the host or hostess, at whose house we are next to meet is not present it be the duty of the secretary to immediately inform them or else run the risk of again having the matter taken in hand by some one not immediately concerned except that she likes to attend the meetings, & dont want this disappointed either. The readers appointed for next meeting were Beulah L Thomas, & P.T. Stabler. Ajourned
