Dear Doctor,

I have the worst spell of frites this morning I have ever had & have lost a great deal of blood. Will thee please send me something for them. I have been wonderfully free from them lately & do not know what could have brought this on but hope it will soon yield to treatment.

I have found great benefit in the use of Extract of Witch Hazel. Is there any ill effects to be dreaded from the use of it.

I have heard nothing from thee since I sent Henry's [?]. Will thee please tell me about it.

In haste
