Cloudy Rain + Clearing Variable
47 Ther. Sunday DEC. 9th 1894 Wind

Raw disagreeable morning I
rode to Riverside on horseback this
morning to see Bro Richard and was
called again by telephone towards
evening and drove over as rapidly
as I well could, expecting to find
him much worse, but could not see
that he was much (if at all) worse
than usual except in imagi-
nation. I reached home in time
for supper

Cloudy Foggy + Rain N.E.
Ther. 33 Monday 10th, Wind

The ground was actually frozen this
morning, it commenced raining at
about 10 O clk + continued at intervals
all day. I walked to Ashton for a pair of
"anti rattlers" + put these into the
shaft boxes of Bro R's buggy. Afternoon
I went to the store + P.O. [?] + also
to the mill for chicken feed. Dora
went up to the bank + attended to
some business for [HannaLea?] [Archer?] and
mailed a check to her. Lizzie
Scott called + left us some very nice
"scrapple." And it a rainin".

Cloudy + Rain N.E.
Ther. 40 Tuesday DEC 11th, 1894 Wind

Dull disagreeable day. I went up to
the mill + to Henderson's for the papers.
Called in at Easton's to inspect Harry's
vaccination (the little boy) + found it had
"taken" admirably. Kate Stabler was here
to see Dora before dinner. Afternoon I
drove over to Riverside to see Brother
Richard "Phil" went with me called
at P.T. Stabler's for their flour whilst
I walked on to Ashton. "Jim" Powell
called here after dark to return the
saddle + bridle I loaned him to bring
the old "Bell" mare from VA he brought
me a driving bit Charley lent me and a
letter from C.

Cloudy + Rain S.E.
Ther. 41 Wednesday 12th Wind

It rained harsh from soon after
midnight last until after sun rise
this morning + continued at intervals
all day well until after sunset where
it cleared off and the moon shone
brighter. There has been a heavy
rain fall within the last 48 hour
the most we have had for months
past within the same time. I hope
it may revive the wells + springs
that have gone dry.
