Cloudy & warmer; I went to the
P.O. & to Fairall's. Willie brought
Fanny & the baby over before lunch.
Saml Bond Jr came to the office.
A heavy cast iron wheel & shaft
having fallen on his left foot
crushing the bone in the "little
toe".
I dressed it for him; he
was here about noon, his brother
Joseph having brought him.
Willie returned to "Fairfield"
after lunch, Afternoon Anna
Lea (Richard I Lea's wife) came
& spent part of the afternoon,
Richard coming for her towards
evening. Fanny & baby remained
to spend the night with us.

Ther. SAT. APRIL 1, 1899 Wind
Quite cool this morning with
N.W. wind blowing all day.
I went to the store & to Fairall's
Office. Thos S. Stabler came before
lunch time. Fanny & the
baby went to "Bloomfield" & took
dinner. Afternoon I rode to
Ashton with T. Stabler & walked
home, also went to the mill for
flour. After supper I went to
the village. Mrs Robison came
in & sat awhile. The wind has
felt as cold as though it came
from over a snow bank.
