Jehu Bowen was here to see
me before breakfast. Willie came
at breakfast time. I was called
again by telephone & drove over
to "Atholwood" to prescribe for
Ernests infant. Willie went with
me as far as Ashton, taking their
carriage with its broken axle
behind the phaeton to Ashton
for repairs. Hary Lea called
to see us this morning.
Afternoon I went up to the
store & P.O.

Tues. July 21^st, 1896.

This has been another "hot
close" day. Edward drove over to
"Homewood" & brought cousin Hannah
Chandler to spend the day. Bro Chas.
& sister Lizzie and Richards and
Anna Lea called. Lizzie Stabler
also called. I went up to the store
& P.O. several times. Willie rode
over after dinner on bicycle &
went back before supper. Edward
commenced renewing the wires
to the electric bell from the
office door. Caroline Mitchell
called to see me after supper.
