Cloudy Ther. 60 FRI. APRIL 14th, 1893 S.W. Wind

Much warmer, cloudy and damp. I could not sleep last night & feel badly to day. After dinner Willie drove down to Ashton. The Sherwood and Brookville boys played a game of "baseball" at "Sherwood." I recd & answered a letter from Kate Stabler in Washington. Colored man named "Bond' was to be "hung" at Rockville Jail to day for the murder of a woman near "Unity" a disagreeable task for Sheriff Fairall. I walked up to the store & P.O. towards evening.

Cloudy & Clearing Ther. 59 SAT. APRIL 15th, 1893 N.W. Wind

Very heavy rain about day light this morning, after which it cleared off much cooler with a strong wind from N.W. which blew all day. Willie came home from "the dance" at Olney at 1-40 this a.m. Afternoon Sarah Stabler called to see me about cousin Ellie Chandlee & I sent "Phil" on horseback to Homewood with medicine for her. Willie was in the store at S.S. ("clerking") all afternoon & evening. I went to the store this morning & bought a new pair of shoes & over shoes for myself.

Clear Ther. 40 SUN. APRIL 16th, 1893 NW Wind

Beautiful day for the "quarterly meeting" at the "little meeting house" which commenced today. I went over to Homewood to see Cousin Ellie & also to see Sister Beulah going with W in the Surry, he going on to E Peirce's & calling for me as he returned. Afternoon he went in the phaeton to Unity with Fanny Peirce. - Millstead brought his wife for advice & med. Miss Alice Tyson sent Turner after me & I walked up to Marden & prescribed for her. "Turner" came again in the evening for some medicine & the "atomizer". W came home at 9-o c'lk p.m. I walked up to the store this morning & got a new "Alpine" hat.

Clear Ther. 50o MON. APRIL 17th, 1893 Variable Wind

Still clear & bright weather Willie drove "Frank" to Rockville to meet Dora on return from Washington. I walked up to Marden to see Alice Tyson again. Dora & W got home about 2 p.m. Alice & Fanny Peirce came soon after to make a call. I walked down to Ashton & back before supper. In the evening Willie went over to "Scotts" taking the guitar to play with "Walter" for a "dancing class" which Lizzie Scott is teaching.

Clear & Cloudy Ther. 43. Tues. April 18, 1893 Variable Wind

Willie came home from "Scott's" before midnight last. I drove down to Ashton & back this a.m. Isaac Jackson, a colored man from Benj Miller's was here to see me before I was up this morning with a untreated "felon" on his finger. Afternoon I rode to Ashton on horseback. Willie worked in the garden this morning & walked over to Cincinnatti & Brighton in afternoon.

Cloudy Ther. 55o Wed. April 19th, 1893 N.E. Wind

Rather dull & threatning. Willie walked home from E Peirces before breakfast: he worked in the garden most of the day. Afternoon Robt Tyson called. Willie drove down to the "Manor" "collecting" for me. I walked up to the store, & again after supper. Jas: T. Henderson & myself went to the School House to examine and sign Miss Ida Dove's report to the Commissioners, for the "Spring Term". We went over before dinner.

Rain Rain Ther.50 Thurs. April 20th, 1893 N.E. Wind

It commenced raining soon after midnight last & continued this morning; it is extremely disagreeable, with strong N.E wind. which lasted all day. Willie "tinkered" at repairing an old chair for his mother. Afternoon I walked up to Henderson's for some butter & also to the store. Willie rode "Frank over to Edwd Peirce's & home to supper. This has been an exceedingly raw chilly disagreeable day, from first to last. Mrs Robison came over and spent the evening.

Cloudy Ther. 48 Fri. April 21, 1893 NE Wind

It rained very hard last night about 10 o'clk with high wind & lightning. It was cloudy & windy all day to day. Afternoon Willie took Edwd: & the Robison boys & Morris Haines to Brookville in the Surry to play a "Return game" of Baseball. "Sherwood" against Brookeville Academy. but it was so stormy & windy they did not play. It cleared off before sunset and is clear at bedtime tonight.

Clear & Cloudy Ther. 56 Sat. April 22d, 1893 Variable Wind

Rained again last night, and several light showers this morning. Edward rode Frank over to Riverside "fishing". Willie worked at putting new spokes & felloes in his buggy wheels at the shops. The well digger "Oldfield" came to Henderson's to see him & get some feed etc. he will return to finish the well later in the season: Just as I expected, and said when he left for home. he should be in bed, instead of on the road: he has been ill with "pneumonia" & has just got out again. Edwin Davis was here & we went over his account; finding a ballance in my favor to date of $12.00. After supper Willie walked up to E Peirce's I went to the store for groceries etc.

Clear & Cloudy Ther. 58o Sun. April 23d, 1893 Variable Wind

Willie came home from E Peirce's at breakfast time. Angelina Thomas called to see me about her mothers bill. Afternoon Dora & Willie went church at Brighton & home to supper. I walked over to Fletcher Clark's & prescribed for his wife, I also walked up to "Marden" but found them all away from home & the house shut up. This has been a very pleasant day, but cool for the season of the year. I enjoy it much more than if it were warmer.
