Clear Ther. 29o WED. MAR. 15th, 1893 N.W. Wind

Rained last night with some thunder & lightning in the forepart of the night the wind changed to N.W. before midnight & blew quite strong & it grew much colder before sunrise this morning. The ground was frozen again & to continued cold all day. Dora walked over to Homewood & Riverside to spend the night. I went to the Mill store etc. Recd. letters from Charley, Willie, & Herbert.

Clear Ther 18o THURS. MAR. 16 1893 N.W Wind

Clear & cold this morning with strong wind from the NW. Dora walked home from Riverside. Elenora Bell sent her boy "Levi" for advice & medicine for herself. Afternoon I rode on horseback over to Homewood & prescribed for cousin Mary Chandlee, and went on to Riverside to see Bro. Richard. Sat & smoked a pipe with Bro's Richd & Charles & home to supper. I called to see Elanora Bell as I came home. Wrote to J.A. Williamson at Fredereck City ordering some medicines to be sent by Express to "Laurel."

Cloudy & Snow Ther 25 FRI. MAR. 17, 1893 S.E. Wind

Cloudy & raw, and about noon it commenced snowing and continued all rest of the day. I went to S.S. & telegraphed to Herbert Kirk for his mother saying she would not return to Philadelphia until Monday. Afternoon I drove over to see cousin Mary Chandlee again. "Phil" went with me, driving "Frank" to the "Surry" Bro. Chas. brought Sister H. over & left her here. After supper John W Johnson was here for advice & medicine.

Clear & Cloudy Ther. 28o SAT. MAR. 18, 1893 N.W. Wind

Cleared off before sunrise and was a beautiful day "overhead." I drove over to "Homewood" & called at Thos Leas "Phil" went with me in the plaeton, we also & called at Ashton Store. Afternoon Chas. Stabler came & took Sister Harriet home with him to spend the night.

Clear Ther. 38o SUN. MAR. 19th, 1893 S.W. Wind

This has been a beautiful day. Chas and Sarah Stabler called on their way to Meeting & left Sister Harriet. Henry Lea Jr. brought me a note from cousin Hannah Chandlee. Afternoon Bro Chas called & also Robert Tyson. Alice & Fanny Peirce were here most of the afternoon. After supper I walked up to Gideon Gilpins.

Cloudy & Clearing Ther 37o MON. MAR. 20, 1893 SE Wind

Sister Harriet left for home in the early stage. I drove over to "Homewood" to see cousin Mary Chandlee again taking "Phil" with me I drove to Riverside & we put the horse in the stable and went to the River "fishing" but caught none. We dined there calling again at Homewood as we came home. Hallie Bentley called. Luther Muncaster came & took tea with us. They had a wonderful "trial" in the toll house to day. H Ent having been arrested & brought before Esq. Ware: who fined him $5.00 & costs for "profanity" on the public high way". & cursing Harry Easton. I was fortunate in being away from the village.

Cloudy & Clearing Ther. 40o TUES. MAR. 21st, 1893 Variable Wind

Raining early this morning but partially cleared off in the afternoon. I drove over to "Homewood." Cousin Chandlee is suffering from extreme prostration and "weakness." I am very anxious about her case, and if she does not improve & gain strength fear she will not be able bear it much longer. I do not feel at all well myself today. Got a new "dash" for the Surry from Mr Oldfield.

Cloudy 7 Ther. 35 WED. MAR. 22d,, 1893 E Wind

Raw & chilly. I drove over to "Homewood" taking H with me found cousin Mary extremely "low & weak." Went again in the afternoon. She can hardly last until midnight unless there should be an unexpected change for the better. Cornelia Bentley brought over Hallie Bentley's two little boys, & left them with us to take care of tonight. The weather is very threatning & it will be likey to rain during the night. Jas. Bryan brought his wife & infant for advice & medicine before dinner.

Cloudy Ther 35o THURS. MAR. 23d,, 1893 N.E.Wind

Raw & disagreeable all day. I put the new dash on the "Surry" & "tinkered" at several odd jobs. Chas. G. Porter called after breakfast & I gave him an order on P.T.Stabler for fourteen dollars ($14.00) the amount in full due him for r nt to Feb. 1st 1893. Cousin Mary Chandlee died at 3. o'clock this morning; her daughters being all present, except Letitia, who arrived this morning. Hallie Bentley's two little boys are still here & will remain all night again. I took my hand saw up to Billy Oldfield to have it sharpened. Recd: letter from T. H. Borden . I walked up to Henderson's after supper to give them Dora's ticket to the Lecture tonight as she can not go. Bernard T. Sheckels was here after dark to consult me about what I fear will be an abcess forming above his right elbow-joint on the inner-aspect of the arm.

Cloudy & "Drizzle" Ther. 40 FRI. MAR. 24th, 1893 NE Wind

Another dull disagreeable day. Hallie Bentley called & took her little boys home with her. I walked up to the store & toll house where Philip T Stabler paid me ballance of the Evans account (Eleven Dollars) He having paid C.G. Porter (on my order) fourteen Dollars , ballance in full for Rent to Feb 1st last. Afternoon colored girl- Robinson (lives at Wm Moore's) was here & had tooth extracted, Remus Awkward was also here to consult me. Emma King called & paid part of her bill. After tea Edwd went to the Lyceum with Bessie Robinson.
