Cloudy & Snow
Ther. 32° Sat. Feb. 11, 1893 S.W. Wind

The ground was covered with snow
this morning 3 or 4 inches deep, but
it was a "wet snow" that adhered to
everything upon which it fell. We
moved the Franklin stove out from
the chimney & cleaned it out and
burned out the chimnies; both
the one at the east end of the house
and the kitchen chimney, the latter
burned furiously for a long time
though both needed "burning out."
I drove down to Ashton to see Mr.
Colt's little boy, who is so much improved
that I will not see him
again unless sent for. Afternoon, I
rode over to Fletcher Clarks to fix
Edw's piano key again. "Phil" went
with me to Ashton this morning and
helped us about burning the chimnies,
as did also "Frank" or "Pole."
Mr Colt called in the evening
for medicine for himself and his
little boy. I called at the store at
Ashton this morning & got writing
paper with printed heading, and
medicine.
