Ther. 24 Thurs, Feb 9th, 1893 S.E. Wind

I drove to Ashton to see
Mr Colt's little boy again: he is
much better & I hope will now
get up again. with the good nursing
he is sure to get. I also drove
down to Robert Blair's to have
some boot & shoe mending done.
Sister Lizzie dined with us.
Afternoon Dora walked home
with her to Riverside to spend
the night. "Arch" Sullivan
called here about dusk about
some business of "Charley's"
that must be attended to.

Ther. 35° Fri. Feb 10th, 1893 S.W. Wind

It rained, hailed, & the wind
blew a gale almost all through
last night, & has been cloudy &
threatning all day today. I went
up to the shop & made a key for
Edwd: to tune the piano with.
Afternoon I took "Phil" & drove
down to Spencerville to see
Mr. Murphy on business &
called at Jas.: W Johnson's as
we came home also at the "toll
gate" & I paid my toll bill to date.
Mr. Colt called to see me this
morning. Bro: Chas: brought Dora
home & also brought me some nice
smoking tobacco whilst I was away
"Phil" took tea with us.
