Rained all through
last night & continued at
intervals all day to day
I drove to Ashton for some
medicine etc. (Sodae Salicylate)
Afternoon Remus Hill Jr.
called for medicine for
Martha Ann Wright from
"Avalon". It has been an
extremely dull, dark, &
dreary day "muggy & close"
with the frost all but of
the ground every where
& very muddy.
John W Johnson came in
the evening to get a letter
I had written for him to
Dr Peter R. House Avoca N.Y.
formerly Asst Surg of the Regt;
in which John served.
