NOVEMBER, THURSDAY 24th 1887.

"Thanks giving day", which
we passed very quietly at
home. Danl Budd's son
"Walter" was here for advice
& medicine for "sore throat".
Afternoon [...]Sullivan
from about Colesville was
here & had tooth extracted.
Recd a letter from Charley.
Walked up to the store at
Sandy Spring: they are moving
into the new part of the
store, in much confusion, the
carpenters being still at work
putting up counters & shelving
After dark I walked down to
Richard Proctor's & bought 2 pounds
of butter from Rachael & paid
her 10cts due on the last butter
Willie got for us.

I took Harriet & Edwd:
in the carriage & left H. at
"Homewood" and drove over
to Riverside with Edwd to
get some walnuts for his
squirrel. called for H at
Thos: Lea's as I returned
before dinner. Afternoon
Dan Budd called & paid
me $1.00 for "Walter". Andrew
Johnson called for advice
& medicine. Edwd & I went
to the store for Coal Oil &
Lard. After tea Edward
went in next door and
spent the evening.
