It Rained hard all through
last night, and is cool
& windy this morning. Emma
J Davis called & paid me
$1.00. In the afternoon at
4 o'clock Jas: Jr & Estelle
Moore buried their little
girl at the Friends meeting
house grounds. Charley
& Willie finished trimming
the hedge. I bought a new
"bramble scythe" & Sneath
C getting it for me at "S S."
Nelly came & took tea with
us & C walked to Ashton
with her. W went with Gus
Stabler to W Bowie's after
supper. Edwd is quite unwell
his temperature being
102. at noon.

SEPTEMBER, SATURDAY 24th 1887.

Quite cold & chilly
this morning "Lark Johnson
was here for advice and
medicine for his wife.
Edward rested better
last night but still has
fever. After noon Willie drove
"Fritz" (to the road cart) to Washington
Bowie's & to Laytonsville to a
"base ball match." Charley went
into Sandy Spring store to take
the place of W Millstead for the
afternoon & evening. I walked
up to the store twice between
dinner & suppertime. Wm
Wright called & paid Louisa
Well's bill & his wife's.
Walked up to the store after tea
& bought a pair of table cloths
coal oil etc. Willie got home
about 8. o'clock p. m.
