June, Thursday 9^th 1887.

Charley drove to Elton
taking Ernest's buggy home
and to bring our carriage
and double lines home with
him. Willie was at the
Sherwood school "commencement"
or closing nearly all
day. After dinner sister Beulah
came to spend the afternoon
& later Ellie Chandlee.
Rosena Bowen was here
for advice &c. I drove to
Ashton towards evening
& got a "bread box" & some
guitar strings for Charley.
Charley & Willie went to a
dance at "Grange Hall" for
Walter Scotts' benefit.
they came home about
12-35. after mid night.

June, Friday 10^th 1887.

Cloudy & threatning
Elijah Leizear called to
see me. Got veal and
beef from "Garterell" for
"Quarterley Meeting". Charley
& Willie worked in the
garden. trying to get rid
of the weeds, which have
grown wonderfully during
the recent wet weather.
After dinner I drove down
to Asa Stablers lower
place & prescribed for his
children. And over to
R R Moores to prescribe
again for his wife.
