March, TUESDAY 29th. 1887.

Great change in the
temperature within 24 hours
and it is cold this morning.
Charley & I drove over to Jno Ed
Hill's and I drove on to Dan
Bank's The wind blew strong
all day. Edward had another
attach of croup last night
& I slept none. I kept him
in bed all day & hope he
may nott be so bad tonight.
Sundry people called here
during the day.

March, WEDNESDAY 30th. 1887.

Still very cold for
the time of year I drove
to Dan Bank's & Jno Edwd
Hill's. Willie going with me.
Edward so much better that
we allowed him to come
down stairs after breakfast.
Afternoon Charley took his mother
over to Homewood in the
buggy & left her there whilst
he drove over to Riverside & got
some smoking tobacco, then came
home about 4-30 p.m. Willie
rode Schaffer's horse to Elton
to spend the night. Dan Banks
was here for medicine for his
boy. I walked up to the mill
to see the improvements they
are making in the machinery.
The "gradual reduction" or
"roller-process" doing away
with "mill stones" or " burrs" entireley
