March, Friday 11th. 1887.

Clear & cold with high
wind. Helen B Lea left for
home (Lawrence Mass) via
Washington. Elvira Hill was
here for advice &c. Afternoon
I drive to Ashton for some
medicines & groceries.
Wille rode away on the
bicycle.

25 Clear N.W.
March, Saturday 12th.1887.

A blustering March day.
Edward was "croupy" last night.
& we kept him in bed until
after dinner to day the weather
being so cold & windy. I recd
a letter from F. Tyson.
I spent most of the day up
stairs with Edward reading
and hearing him his lessons.
Willie went in next door to
stay all night. Miss Elizabeth
& Mary Fowler both bring away
from home.
