77. Clear & Cloudy. N.W.
Ther. SUN. JULY 19th, 1885 Wea.

Charley & Willie went over to
the river with some young
men. Some of them taking
my spring wagon & some
on "bicycles". Jarrett Lee
brought his mother in law
"(Axia" Dorsey.) for advice
& medicine. Cousin Martha
Lea called on way to meeting,
to enquire for Harriet.
Edwd: Jackson & wife came
& dined with us. Walter
Scott & wife called whilst
we were at supper. After
tea Charley drove "Fritz"
over to "Brookville" much
against our judgement
or wishes. Another gust
passed around us leaving
the air rather cooler.

Ther. MON. JULY 20, 1885 Wea.

Annie Rounds came & washed
for H. Rather cooler early in
the morning but after the
sun got higher it was again
extremely hot. & is beginning
to be very dry. Towards
night Mrs Robinson came
in to see me about her little
son "Hilleas", who has an
attack of "cholera morbus"
and the youngest "Frank",
is laid up with "stone bruise"
on his foot. Our young folks
all at home in the evening
& had some music out
of doors until bed time.
