Tom Budd's daughter "Eliza Jane" here
and had tooth extracted. Charley and I
went to Leawood Mills and Jno Winfield's
afternoon. Willie and I went to
Rob Awkard's After I had gone
to bed, was called up to dress a punctured
and incised wound in left side of
a youth named Robert Aquilla who had
been stabbed at "Sharp St: Meeting House
by a young man named Jno: Cook. Sent
him home in my express wagon on some hay.

Rain and Cloudy Monday Dec 2d
Was up early and went to [Daul?] Aquilla's
thence to Leawood Mills and home. Afternoon
went again to D. Aquilla's also to Warner
Cook's. P.S. Stabler called.

[Right Page] Tuesday Dec 3rd
Went to office, to Aquilla's, Cook's, Robert
Awkards and C Roddys before dinner.
Afternoon went to Fulford to [secters?] Tyson
and family. Lovejoy the "clock tinker" here
all afternoon and until after supper cleaning
and adjusting the old "great grandfather"
clock. Charley's music teacher here.
Ed: Hill brought me 3 cords of pinewood

Cloudy Wednesday Dec 4th
Went to Aquilla's and to the office before
dinner. "Clock tinker" here again to
finish the clock he dined here.
Afternoon went to Aquilla's and to
Warner Cook's. Nathan Edwards was
burned. I have a bad cold, tooth ache
head ache etc.
