[Left Page] Clear and cloudy Saturday Nov 23d
Went to the office, sent the horses
back home by Israel and walked home
myself. Went up to Gilpin and Bentley's
and had a talk with Richard S Bentley.
To the office again afternoon taking
Willie with me.
Ernest staid all night with
Charley.

Clear Sunday Nov 24th
Charley went home with Ernest
before breakfast and returned
about 10.30 this morning.
I went to dress the wounds of Robt
Sullivan's son. Frank, who was fatally
wounded by the accidental discharge
of a gun in his own hands tearing
away the whole left side fo his
face and jaw. He died about 2 p.m.
never having rallied from the
shock. Cousin Edwd Lea called
Charley and Dora took a short drive
towards evening.

Went to office and to Jeff Hopkins and
Chas Roddy's taking Israel with
me. Rebecca Johnston called for
advice and medicine. Mrs Mary
Estelle for advice for the latter.
Went again to office and took medicine
to Fulford for [Miss?] [Tellie?] Dr. Sane
and Walter Scott and Jno Bentley sent the
evening here and we had some
music

Cloudy Tuesday Nov 26th
Took Harriet and called at Homewood and at
P.S. Stabler's. Afternoon sent Israel to P.S.
Stablers and got 805 lbs of mixed hay.
Charley went to Robt Sullivan's to the
funeral of the young man who accidentally
shot himself on sunday last. I took
Willie and walked over to the graveyard
to witness the burial.
