An Ordinance Against Interfering with and Damaging
the Wires, Poles, Lamps, Ropes and Other
Appurtenances to the Electric Plants of this City.

Section 1. Be it ordained by the Mayor and Aldermen
of the City of Greenville, in Council now assembled, and
by the authority of the same, That from and after the
passage of theis ordinance it shall be unlawful for any
person to interfere with or damage in any way the
wires, poles, lamps, ropes and other appurtenances to
the electric light plants in this City.

Sec. 2. Any person or persons violating the provisions
of this ordinance shall be fined in the sum of not less
five nor more than fifty dollars, one-half of said
fine to be paid to the informer, or be imprisoned not
less than five nor more than thirty days.

Done in Council and ratified under the Corporate Seal
of the City of Greenville on the fifth day of March,
in the year of our Lord, one thousand, eight hundred
and eighty-nine, and in the one hundred and
thirteenth year of the independence of the United
Sates of America.

An Ordinance in Relation to Monies Received from
Lots Sold in Springwood and Richland Cemeteries,
and to Keep Same as a Separate Fund to be
Devoted to the Improvement of Said Cemeteries.

Section 1. Be it ordained by the Maor and Aldermen of
the City of Greenville, in Council assembled, and by the
authority of the same, That hereafter all monies received
from lots sold in Springwood and Richland Cemeteries
shall be kept by the Treasurer of the City Council
as a separate and distinct fund, to be known as
Cemtery Funds, and that the same shall be applied
only to the improvement of the said Cemeteries as may
be directed by the City Council.
