Bank until notice of revocation or cancellation thereof be
given to the said Bank in writing.

At the spring meeting of the Board the Principal called
attention to the fact that negotiations were proceeding with
the Government of Ontario in the hope of an increased
grants, and also in connection with the Faculty of Education.
The establishment of that Faculty the relations were hardly
satisfactory to the Government or the University. And before
the autumn meeting, things had come to a head, and
the Faculty was closed and the similar Faculty in
Toronto University also. A new training institution was
to be a set up in Toronto called the "Ontario College of Education."
The Government would provide posts for Dean Coleman
and Professor Macpherson.

The Board had expected much from a Faculty of
Education at Queen's, and given time, and generous
support by the Government, it would have met all
expectations.

It is but fair to say, however, that the Cabinet had
its own difficulty in the matter. The General Hospital
was in urgent need of Provincial help, and pressed hard
for recognition, and that recognition would, indirectly,
be a contribution to University equipment in providing
more abundant clinical for the Medical
