Trustees resident in Kingston, and sometimes an outside Trustee
or two, the Chairman of the Board, and the Principal. The
Committee is elected by the Board from time to time.

As duties and responsibilities had greatly mulitplied in the
offices of the Registrar and Treasurer, the Finance and
Estates Committee was instructed to look over the grounds,
and (1) define these duties and responsibilities; (2) draw
up rules for regulating the financial administration of the
University, as to accounting, investments, book-keeping, borrowing
and banking, and any other matters incident to the
main objects of this resolution.

At the request of the Medical Faculty a special committee
was appointed to enquire into the future of medical education
in the University, to report at the spring meeting, or earlier
if found desirable.

Principal Bruce Taylor's two years at the head of Queen's
had been years of toil and not a little anxiety. The war strain
and financial strain called for sleepless vigilances, and there
was no napping on the part of the new Principal. So the Board
contrived to get him out of the room for a few minutes, and
on his return he found that his salary had been advanced
$2,000.00. In a few choice words he acknowedged the
favour, and thanked the Board for its confidence and
good will.
