Executors of the late Chancellor Douglas for the receipt of
$500,000.00, and to the Carnegie Corporation for $250,000.00
and to all the others who had helped to round off that million.

At the next meeting of the Board, Feb 3, 1920, the special
committee, recently appointed to consider the future of
medical education in the University, reported through
the Principal: (1) That the University should do its best and
utmost to reorganize the Medical School, and continue
its work in the city; (2) that the Dean should give
full-time, with a sufficient number of full-time professors
on the clincial as well as on the purely scientific
side; (3) that the University should have as large
as possible a measure of control in the Kingston General
Hospital and keep in touch with the needs of the community
and the rights of medical practitioners; (4) that
greater attention be given to the Hospital Pathological
Department, and that a more complete "follow through"
record of patients be kept; (5) that a first class hospital
superintendant be employed, who should be responsible
for the medical administration, under the supervision
of the University; that the following estimate of expenditure
be considered:

(c) Rebuilding, $1,060.00; (b) Enlargement of staff, $20,000
to $30,000.00 per annum; (c) Pathological Department
$10,000.00 per annum; (d) Financial Aid in sight for
