accounts brought up a Report (Number 119 Book E.) which
was read and adopted as amended

Ald: Smythe from the Committee on Streets and
Improvements brought up a report (Number 120 Book E.)
which was read

Ald: Smythe moves seconded by Ald: Law
That the report of the Committee on Streets be received
and adopted

In Amendment
Ald: Allen moves seconded by Ald: McGuire
That that part of the report of the Committee on
Streets referring to J. O. Gardiner's petition be struck out, which
being put was carried

The Chairman from the Committee On Printing
brought up a Report (Number 121 Book E.) which was read
and adopted

The Chairman from the Select Committee on the
Consolidation of the By Laws brought up a Report (Number
112 Booke E.) which was read and adopted.

On motion of Ald: McGuire seconded by Ald: Clements
Resolved, that it be an expression of opinion of this Council
that the Chairman of Streets in putting out metal on the streets
should not do so so late in the season as to interfere with the
sleighing next winter

On motion of Ald: McIntyre seconded by Ald: Smythe

Ordered, that the matters referred to the several Committees
of last year not reported on be now referred to the Committees of the
present year Corresponding to the Committees to which they were
formerly referred

On motion of Ald: Redden seconded by Ald: Gildersleeve
Ordered, that the City Solicitor prepare a By Law
under the advice of the Finance Committee to regulate all
bonuses and exemptions to manufacturing industries

On motion of Ald: John Carson seconded by Ald: McIntyre
Ordered, that the Mayor be instructed to write to the
manager of Street Railway Company and request him to call
the directors together, and report to this Council as to what they
intend to do with the Williamsville end of the road

Ald: R.J. Carson introduced a By Law to Authorize the
Mayor and City Treasurer to borrow $20.000.00 which was read a
first
