Kingston June 7 1880

A Special meeting of the Council of the Corporation of the City of Kingston
was held this day. Present:

His Worship The Mayor
Aldermen: Clements, Dupuis, Fee, Gaskin, JP Gildersleeve, Harty,
Irving, Law, McCammon, McGuire, McIntyre, McMahon,
Pense, Snook

The Mayor stated the meeting was called to receive the report
of the Finance Committee and to consider the report on Streets &c
recommending the appropriations for the year and any unfinished
business.

Ald McIntyre from the Committee on Finance and Accounts
brought up a Report (Number 6 Book E) which was read and
adopted

The Chairman from the Committee on Streets and Improvements
brought up a Report (Number 7 Book E) which was read

Ald Gaskin moves seconded by Ald Allen
That the Report of Committee on Streets be received
and adopted.

Ald Maloney here entered

In amendment 1st
Ald McGuire moves seconded by Ald Dupuis
That the lowest tender for each particular kind of
board walk be accepted and that the Report of the Committee on
Streets be amended accordingly

which being put was lost and the Report was adopted

Ald McRossie here entered

The Chairman from the Committee on the Market brought
up a Report (Number 8 Book E) which was read and
adopted

On motion the Council adjourned
