Hook and Ladder Company praying for the payment of
their half years salary in advance.

On motion of Ald: McCammon seconded by Ald: McDermott
Ordered, That the petition of the Hook & Ladder
Company be referred to the Committee on Finance with power
to act.

On motion of Ald. McIntyre seconded by Ald: Carson
Ordered, That the sum of $100 be appropriated
towards the commencement of the work on a [tank?] in
Williamsville in accordance with the resolution of this
Council recommending the same

On motion the Council adjourned

A Meeting of the Council of the Corporation of the
City of Kingston was held this day. Present

His Worship the Mayor

Aldermen
Asselstine, Campbell, Carson, Clements, Drennan,
Dupuis, Gildersleeve, Harty, Metcalfe,
McCammon, McDermott, McIntyre, McRossie,
Noble, Price, Walkem

The Clerk read the Minutes of the last meeting.

The Mayor stated to the Council that since last
meeting he suspended the City Engineer until the pleasure
of the Council is known.

On motion of Ald: McIntyre seconded by Ald: Drennan
Ordered, That the question of the City Engineership
be referred to the Committee on Street and Improvements
to report at the next meeting of this Council.

A Communication from Mr J.R. Dargaval, Clerk
South Crosby was read enclosing copy of resolutions
passed by the Township Council proposing to keep that part
of the Kingston and Phillipsville Road in repair without
Toll gate provided the Corporation will make a gratuitious
conveyance of said part of road to the Township free of all
expenses.

On motion of Ald: Carson seconded by Ald: Harty
Ordered, That the Communicaiton of the Corporation
of South Crosby be referred to the Committee on Streets
to report.
