On motion of Ald Allen seconded by Ald Kent
Ordered That Aldn Richardson and Stewart be added to the Committee
clause 10 after $25,000 in 12th line insert " to be effected with a company or
companies approved by said Corporation

Ald Donnelly introduced a By Law entitled " A By Law to raise
by way of loan on the credit of the debentures of the Municipality of the City of Kingston
the sum of $25,000 and to grant the same in aid of the erection of a Grain Elevator in
said City which was read a first time.

The 30th Rule was suspended and the Council went into Committee
of the whole on the second reading.

The Committee rose and the Chairman reported the second reading of
the By Law clause by clause. The Report was received.

The Council here adjourned for 20 minutes.

The Council assembled pursuant to adjournment all the members present.

On motion of Ald Elliott seconded by Ald Ryan
Ordered, That in view of the fact that the next regular meeting of this Council
occurs on the Birthday of our Most Gracious Majesty Queen Victoria that when this
Council adjourns it stands adjourned until the following next regular meeting
and that all accounts be paid on being properly certified by the Chairman of
Committee.

On motion of Ald Donnelly seconded by Ald Allen
Ordered That sec. 21 be reconsidered and amended by making the
payment of the $5000 immediately the passing of the By Law by the Council.

On motion the Council Adjourned.
