Ald Donnelly moves seconded by Ald Livingston
That $100 be granted the Parks Committee to assist in paying for music if
the Finance Committee see their way clear to provide and recommend it, which
being put was lost.

The yeas and nays were then taken on the original motion which was
carried.

Yeas: Mayor Skinner, Aldn Allen, Johns, Kent, Minnes, Richardson,
C. Robinson, Ryan, Stewart, Taylor, Toye, Wright - 12

Nays: Aldn Carson, Donnelly, Elliott, Livingston, Mooers, Tait, Walkem - 7.

Ald Elliott introduced a By Law entitled A By Law to amend By Law
No 506 entitled "A By Law to fix a day in each year as a Civic Holiday" which was
read a first time.

The 30th Rule was suspended and the Council went into committee of
the whole on the second reading.

The Council resumed.

The Committee rose and the Chairman reported the second reading
of the By Law clause by clause - The Report was received. The 30th Rule
being again suspended the By Law was read a third time and passed.

Ald Ryan introduced a By Law to amend By Law No 475 entitled
"A By Law respecting Snow Ice and Dirt" which was read a first time.

The 30th Rule was suspended and the Council went into committee
of the whole on the second reading.

The Council resumed.

The Committee Rose and the Chairman reported the second reading
of the By Law clause by clause - The Report was received.

The 30th Rule being again suspended the By Law was read a third
time and passed.

Ald Ryan introduced a By Law to amend By Law No 490
entitled "A By Law respecting the Harbour" which was read a first time.

The 30th Rule was suspended and the Council went into committee
of the whole on the second reading.

The Council resumed.

The Committee Rose and the Chairman reported the second reading
of the By Law clause by clause - The Report was received.

The 30th Rule being again suspended the By Law was read a third
time and passed.

On motion of Ald Taylor seconded by Ald Elliott
Ordered That the Board of Works attention be called to have
Princess Street scraped and cleaned from Albert Street to the City limits.

Ald Carson introduced a By Lay to authorize the construction
of an Artificial Stone Sidewalk on the South side of that part of King Street from
the present Artificial stone side walk in front of the British American Hotel
to Johnson Street and on the East side of Johnson Street in front of the property
of James C. Connell in the City of Kingston as a Local Improvement which
was read a first time.

The 30th Rule was suspended and the Council went into
committee of the whole on the second reading.
